Who we serve
Other civilian federal agencies, who use our programs to provide their workspace and furnishings at best value to the American taxpayer.
What we do
We acquire space through new construction and leasing and maintain federal properties nationwide. We own or lease an inventory of more than 8,500 assets, maintain over 359 million square feet of owned and leased workspace and preserve more than 500 historic properties.

We have reorganized
We are changing how we deliver services to better meet customer needs. After reviewing our operations, we reorganized our work into eight centralized business lines based on function.
In the past, we managed our work by region to support local customers. Improvements in technology and contracting now make it possible to use a centralized approach. This model helps us provide the same level of service to customers no matter where they are located.
Under the new structure:
- Our operations better align with federal judicial circuits and other customer groups.
- Court-related agencies and systems are no longer split across multiple regions.
- Each business line has one management structure, with teams located across the country.
These changes create a more aligned PBS and improve how we deliver services to our customers.
Who to contact
- Access PBS points of contact by service area, including client strategy, facilities management, construction and renovation, future space needs, and reimbursable work authorization or RWA.
